NEW ORLEANS TO TEXAS by CHRIS HILLMAN & RICHARD RAINS with Mike Hortig

Finally arrived! Chris Hillman's 'New Orleans to Texas' (available here from Frog Records at a ludicrously cheap price).
78pp A5 cardback book - tons of great pics - inc. a 'Texas String Band' that many think is the first viewing of Coley Jones, Marco Washington & the Dallas String Band. I can't say we agree with some of the 'suggestions of personnel (surely Charlie Kyle on the Lillian Glinn 1927 session etc?) but this is all fascinating stuff.
Comes with a comp hand-run 25 track CDR (from the authors' 78s)  and the sound is pretty darn good too.
