Victor Records was one of early Blues most important labels and in October 1936 they went to the St. Charles Hotel for what would turn out to be their last significant Blues field recording session. This release is the first to focus on the results from that historical day; the session yielded some of Bo Carter's most well known pieces as well as all of Sonny Boy Nelson's pre-war recordings. The sound, as always with Nehi releases, is cleaner than ever before, revealing even more of the sonic delights laid down on that fateful day.
