WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE FOLLOWING IMMINENT RELEASES FROM FROG RECORDS

FROG CD DGF86.  BOBBIE LEECAN – ‘Suitcase Breakdown’

This is an issue long overdue. Guitar maestro Bobbie Leecan’s very best recordings with his own Need-More Band and South Street Trio. As accompanist & soloist, together with Robert Cooksey, Elizabeth Smith, Alberta Hunter and on classic band recordings with leaders Fats Waller, Thomas Morris, Eddie Edinborough and others. Plus his only known solo recordings (issued as Blind Bobby Baker) taken from one of the rarest known blues/jazz 78s.
Remastered by Nick Dellow with notes by Guido van Rijn.

Now available.

FROG CD DGF87.  FLETCHER HENDERSON ORCHESTRA – ‘Do That Thing’

Some of the best ‘big band’ hot jazz from the legendary Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. Heard here for the first time in glorious sound; the earliest acoustic Vocalion and Pathe sides.
Beautifully transferred and remastered by Nick Dellow from the Mark Berresford 78 collection. With extensive notes by Brian Goggin.
This is the proposed first of two volumes and features a musicians line-up of ‘greats’ that reads like a who’s who of Jazz.

Now available.

Also in preparation are three further rare & hot jazz & blues releases plus a deluxe ‘special’ New Orleans boxset complete with 6 CDs and luxury book.

And of course, the sixth (and last) Frog Blues & Jazz Annual - with complimentary disc of rarities.  The Annual won't be ready for The Asheville Shellac Bash - like last year. But the Frog team will be there again and then moving on to New Orleans collecting, researching, and having fun!.

Watch here for further news and details.
